HydroSilk™ is not a magic fabric story. It is the name Krunkie uses for the way the men's beach shorts solve a very normal swim-trunk problem: comfortable thin shorts can cling when they are wet, while traditional mesh liners can feel scratchy and restrictive.
The problem: clingage
When a wet outer shell sits directly against skin, it can stick and outline more than you want. Making the shell thicker can reduce that effect, but it also makes the short heavier and less comfortable.

Krunkie men's beach shorts use a loose-fitting nylon inner liner instead of scratchy mesh or a tight compression-style liner. That inner layer creates separation between you and the wet outer shell while leaving room to move and breathe.
Why loose instead of compression
Compression liners can feel great for running and hard training, but they keep a tight layer around your leg all day. Krunkie's loose liner is intentionally roomier so the shorts feel more like an everyday short after the water.
